Yukiya Amano, the head of the U.N.’s
International Atomic Energy
|
Pro-Khamenei
media revealed the Iranian regime's fear of the statements made by the General
Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency. They wrote, "What
guarantee is there that Amano will not publish a contradictory report that
would lead to further accusations of the government of violating the agreement,
opening the way to further anti-Iran sanctions and reinforcement of the current
sanctions?"
Kayhan
wrote on Thursday, "IAEA general director Yokio Amano once again expressed
skepticism over our government's nuclear ambitions. Amano said Tuesday in
Cairo: ‘The IAEA has doubts that Iran would deploy its nuclear program in other
undeclared activities!’ "
The
pro-Khamenei daily also noted Amano's interview with the CNN. "In response
to a question on whether Lausanne agreement could block Iran's path to nuclear
weapons according to Barack Obama, IAEA director says, 'The Comprehensive Joint
Plan of Action requires a strong verification instrument called the Additional
Protocol according to which the Iranian regime must declare further details
about its nuclear fuel cycle and more extensive dimensions of its nuclear
program.'
"Amano
continued, 'If the IAEA has any doubts, it can ask to have access to the
suspicious site and principally, Iran must grant the request.' "
With
the title, "Unfair IAEA statements continue," Kayhan wrote,
"According to the Lausanne agreement, lifting of sanctions has been
conditioned on verification of Iran's nuclear activities by the IAEA... but the
IAEA... again concludes that it cannot judge about the peaceful nature of
Iran's nuclear program!"
