General Hughes Shelton
wrote an article in The Hill in which he suggested that the international
community should support the Saudi-led coalition in the region against Iranian
proxies in Yemen. He said one must not stop at this point, rather Tehran’s
impact on hot spots such as Iraq and Syria must also be contained. He said this
was also reflected in the want of the Iranian opposition and Mrs. Maryam
Rajavi, the president elect of the National Council of Resistance, who lauded
formation of the regional coalition as “a very essential move and a united and
inevitable measure”.
