Teachers protest across Iran despite Khamenei’s threats and oppressive provisions in the cites of Iran.
IRAN- Labor activists beaten, detained
Labor activist Pedram
Nassrollahi, a member of the coordination committee in the city of Sanandaj,
was arrested along with his wife when plainclothes agents raided the home of
one of their friends.
The agents did not provide any court order or
explanations while beating and arresting this labor activist before his wife
and their hosts.
IRAN - Hunger striking prisoners transferred to hospital
Saeed Pour-Heydari was transferred to a hospital after
his health deteriorated following a hunger strike in Rajaie Shahr Prison.
This political prisoner, born in 1981, has been on hunger
strike since Saturday, April 25 protesting inhumane conditions and transfer to
a ward of ordinary and dangerous inmates. Pour-Heydar was arrested during
protests following the controversial 2009 elections. He left the country after
his release, spending time in Turkey and the United States. He returned to Iran
in February 2015, leading to his temporary detention and transfer to prison.
