IRAN: Political prisoner Ali Moezi support June 13 Paris rally

In a statement published from prison, Mr. Ali Moezi, the political prisoner being held in Karaj central priso, called on all Iranians outside the country to join the upcoming gathering of Iranian opposition on June 13 in Villepinte, Paris.
The Iranian communities the world over will gather in their biggest gathering ever, to stand up to Tehran, to highlight its egregious polices as the epicenter of Islamic extremism, and to call for a new Western policies that address the changing dynamics of the most volatile and strategically important region of the world while supporting democratic and anti-fundamentalist local movements and populations.

Iran: imprisoned worker may lose eyesight


Yousef Abkharabat, a worker fired from the Mahabad Industry and Farm Company who was sentenced to two years in prison by the Mahabad city court for taking part in the annual general assembly of the Coordination Committee. He has spent 14 months of this sentence in harsh conditions. Currently he may lose his eyesight due to lack of access to medical services.

Iran: sentences upheld for two imprisoned Christian converts

The one year sentencing of Farshid Fat’hi and Arash Moghaddam, charged after an attack on ward 350 on the so-called ‘Black Thursday’, have been upheld by an appeals court.
Prior to this in the initial court Fat’hi was sentenced to 1 year in prison, 74 lashes and a 2 million rial fine. Arash Moghadam was sentenced to 1 year in prison, 74 lashes and a 3 million rial fine.
