AFP - 25 February 2015 - A counter-terrorism conference attended by senior Muslim scholars from around the world on Wednesday called for education reform to tackle religious extremism.
Participants at the meeting in the Saudi holy city of Mecca urged Muslim leaders to review the religious messages in education, 'to achieve a more moderate approach.'

The conference in Geneva to support Camp Liberty residents in Iraq
The conference on the United Nations obligations and assisting Camp Liberty residents in Iraq, was held in Geneva Switzerland in United Nation’s Palais des Nations on Friday, 20th February 2015. The conference was held under the auspices of France Libertes-Foundation of Danielle Mitterrand, Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty, Women’s Human Rights International Association-WHRIA, and International Educational Developent – IED.
The township of Ekbatan in Tehran
Around noon time last Monday where a group of people had gathered in the town of Ekbatan to protest the water cutoff, the state security forces arrived to disperse the crowd and prevent the gathering from taking momentum. This provoked youth in that gathering, who had prevented the government officials from leaving without doing something to start the flow of water, to stand their ground and attack the suppressive security forces and giving them a lesson not to be forgotten.
