The clerical regime prevents the celebrations of Easter in churches of Urumia

Iran clerical regime prevents Christians to hold Easter Sunday Mass
In an unprecedented repressive measure, the clerical regime barred fellow Christians from holding any Easter celebrations. The office of religious buildings of the state security forces sent threatening letters to churches of Urumia and threatened to prevent any gathering of Christians because these ceremonies were related to the time of Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion in 'Jerusalem'.
According to the instructions, Christians are only permitted to hold the ceremony in their homes.
