Iran - Karaj: Iran regime executes 16 in Qezel-Hessar Prison

Sixteen political prisoners on the verge of being hanged
16 political  Forty prisoners in various prisons were transferred on Saturday, April 11, from their cellblocks to solitary cells to prepare their executions
Families and relatives of 16 prisoners gathered outside the prison, immediately after learning of this matter and demanded cancellation of the death decrees.
Overlooking the pleas, the clerical regime executed 12 prisoners on the morning Sunday, April 12. All of the executed prisoners were under 30 years of age.
Inmates in Gohardasht and Central prisons staged a protest and hurled stones at prison guards.  They said, “We will not allow you to kill our cellmates; we will not let you kill us.”
Head of the Prisons Organization had earlier declared that half a million people are imprisoned every year and some 250,000 people are detained unnecessarily.”
The National Council of Resistance of Iran condemned the heinous executions and urged international bodies to take immediate action to prevent execution of youths in Iran.
