The Examiner - April 4, 2015 - As President Obama touted a tentative deal that would lift sanctions on Iran in return for reducing its number of nuclear facilities, left unmentioned were the American citizens currently held captive by the regime.

Saeed Abedini is an Idaho pastor who was sentenced toeight years for 'disturbing national security' after his work with churches inthe country.

A step toward drinking the chalice of nuclear poison, this retreat was prompted by fear and pressure and blatantly contradicts the foundations and guidelines the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had announced personally two weeks ago.

Members of families and relatives of the victims of 1988 massacre of political prisoners and those killed by the Iranian regime in the 1980s were banned from paying homage to their loved ones at their burial site outside Tehran.
The state security forces and agents of the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security prevented the families from holding a gathering that traditionally is held on the last Friday of the ending Iranian year at the burial site in Khavaran cemetery.
The forces closed off roads leading to the cemetery and harassed those intending to attend the gathering.
In the summer of 1988, the Iranian regime summarily and extra-judiciary executed tens of thousands of political prisoners held in jails across Iran.
The Iranian regime has never acknowledged these executions, or provided any information as to how many prisoners were killed.
The majority of those executed were either serving prison sentences for their political activities or had already finished their sentences but were still kept in prison.

Pentagon has denied on Monday a claim by the Iranian state media saying that two Iranian Revolutionary Guardsmen were killed by a US drone in the Iraqi city of Tikrit.
The official IRNA news agency has claimed that the two had been posted to Iraq as advisers in in Iraq before they were killed due to a drone strike in Tikrit.
Pictures of the two men, named as Ali Yazdani and Hadi Jafari, were posted on Iranian news websites after their funerals on home soil.
The Fars news agency called Jafari, 29, from the northern Iranian city of Amol. Yazdani was buried in Tehran, it reported.
