Political
prisoner Ali Reza Rasouli has gone on hunger strike since May 30th,
protesting lack of medical treatment in Mahabad Prison. He is suffering from
cancer and is enduring excruciating pain. This political prisoner can hardly
sleep, sit, walk or undergo other normal activities. It’s been months since he,
despite all the hollow promises, has been deprived of medical care. He has been
suffering from a kidney problem for a couple of days. In this regard he went to
the prison clinic but they have deprived him of any serious treatment.
Rasouli had twice gone on hunger strike before,
protesting lack of treatment for his cancer.
