Clashed have been reported
between the youth and the state security forces who tried to prevent the people
from celebrating the feast of fire. The youth attacked a vehicle belonging to
the security forces setting the car on fire.
Today, Tuesday,
March 17, 2015 Ahwaz was hosting a football match between the Foulad from
Khouzestan and Al-Helal from Saudi Arabia. When the match was over, Ahwazi
youth in protest to a self-immolation of one of their fellow countrymen who had
set himself alight to protest his disastrous economic situation and extreme
poverty, protested and clashed with the suppressive state security guards.
