Hadi al-Ameri forces destroy Iranian dissidents cemetery in Camp Ashraf

In an anti-human crime in mid-January and by the orders of Hadi Ameri, the Iraqi forces and the criminal militias stationed in Ashraf destroyed the Pearl Cemetery in Ashraf along with its memorials, symbolic statues, walls and even the grave stones.

Since 2012 and on various occasions, the Iraqi forces used to destroy parts of the cemetery, but despite repeated protests by the residents’ representatives to the United States and the United Nations , they took no effective measures to prevent this repulsive crime.

This anti-human behavior is a reminder of the behavior of the religious fascism ruling Iran that out of fear of the widespread social affinity for the PMOI constantly destroys the graves of PMOI/MEK members and prevents gathering of relatives and friends at the grave sites pay respect to the fallen. This regime knows all too well that PMOI martyrs are an inspiration to the Iranian people for steadfastness and resistance to overthrow the mullahs and establish democracy in Iran.

Years ago, the name, account number, and monthly pay of Hadi Ameri who is under the command of the Quds Force were disclosed in the list of those who receive salary from the Quds Force. Since last July that he occupied Ashraf and turned it into the headquarters for the militias affiliated with the Quds Force, he resorted to plunder residents’ property and vehicles in coordination with Maliki’s National Security Advisor Faleh Fayadh.

Time and again, residents called on the UN and U.S. officials to make arrangements for the cemetery in Ashraf to be protected and looked after at the expense of residents. On December 2, 2102, Fars News Agency, affiliated with the revolutionary guards (IRGC), published pictures of some of the graves in Ashraf that had been destroyed. In response to protests from the residents’ representative in Camp Liberty, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) wrote on December 7: “Desecration of graves is unacceptable and if anything like that happened, we will raise our voice. I trust that the Iraqi authorities…will respect the sanctity of the graves of your fallen ones. I will certainly discuss this issue with them.”

However, no voices were raised. Residents’ representative wrote to DSRSG on December 16: “The repulsive and criminal behavior of the mullahs’ intelligence agents and that of the Iraqi forces in treating Ashraf cemetery and destroying the graves disrespectfully... has provoked no reaction on your behalf and that of the SRSG whereas such behavior is denounced by all religions and human cultures.”

Once again, the Iranian Resistance calls on the U.S. government, the UN Secretary-General, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq, and the UN High Commissioners for Human Rights and Refugees to take immediate action to stop this anti-human and immoral trend and to protect the graves of the deceased in Ashraf.

On Monday, January 26, in a conference at Council of Europe titled “The crisis of terrorism and fundamentalism, roots, solutions, role of religious dictatorship in Iran”, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, described the eviction of the Iranian regime from Iraq and Syria as the foremost step to win the fight against fundamentalism and underscored on the need to help the Syrian people to overthrow Bashar Assad. She warned: The massacre of hundreds of thousands in Syria and Iraq will not end with these countries and the flames of this war will spread to the whole region and will also reach the heart of Europe.
The conference “The crisis of terrorism and fundamentalism, roots, solutions, role of religious dictatorship in Iran” was held at the invitation of British, Swiss and Finnish parliamentary committees concurrent with the official meeting of the Council of Europe at its headquarters in Strasburg. In this conference, Mrs. Rajavi expressed abhorrence for crimes such as the slaughter of journalists and opening fire on defenseless people in France and stated that the spirit of Islam rejects these actions with utmost repugnance.
In this conference held at the presence of a number of European legislators, including leaders of groups of representatives from various European countries and different political groups, Rajavi emphasized on the need for the eviction of the Iranian regime, the Qods Force and its so-called Shia militias in Iraq. She reminded that without uprooting the Iranian regime and its militias in Iraq, even if the war against ISIS weakens the group in Iraq, it will spread this phenomenon internationally.
In another part of her speech, Rajavi mentioned that the weakness shown by the West in the face of the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program, the inclusion of this regime in the international coalition against ISIS, or courting this regime in some way in Iraq and Syria, are all elements that would defeat the strategy of confronting fundamentalism and would give this regime space to operate in and attack from, devastating other countries in the region in fire and bloodshed.
Mrs. Rajavi said that the narrative that Sunni fundamentalism is more dangerous than Shiite fundamentalism and the former should be confronted with the aid of the latter, is a dangerous theory for closing the eyes on the clerical regime’s destructive dominion over the region. This is part of the narrative underpinning a policy with which some American and western politicians have steered the world toward the current disaster. She warned: Acquiescing regime's meddling in Iraq on the pretext of fighting ISIS is a hundred times more dangerous than the nuclear weapon and a prelude to a greater catastrophe and it is tantamount to avoiding a hole but falling in a well.
President-elect of the Resistance also participated today in official meetings of several political groups, including the Christian Democrats (the largest group in the Council of Europe) and the Liberals, making speeches at the request of the representatives.
Similarly, Rajavi warned about offering concessions to this regime in the nuclear talks and stated that the regime’s nuclear program has no legitimacy for the Iranian people. She thus called on the international community to implement the United Nations resolutions in this regard.
In this conference, presided over by senior Finnish legislator Kimmo Sasi, the following offered speeches: Jordi Xucla, Leader of Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group and sent Carmen Quintanilla (Spain); Tiny Kox (Netherlands), Leader of Unified European Left Group; Mike Hancock and Alan Meale (Great Britain); Eric Voruz (Switzerland); Senator Bernard Fournier, Frédéric Reiss, Emile Blessig (France); leaders of Italian and Estonian delegations; Egidijus Vareikis (Lithuania) and Scott Sims (Canada); Nazir Hakim, General Secretary of Syrian National Coalition political delegation, and Nejat al-Astal, President of the Palestinian delegation in PACE.
President-elect of the Iranian Resistance accentuated: The ultimate solution in confronting fundamentalism lies in the overthrow of the Iranian regime as the epicenter of fundamentalism and terrorism. With the regime's downfall, al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hezbollah or Houthis will no longer present a serious threat to peace and democracy and will be deprived of power and influence. In the face of this destructive force with its source in Tehran, instead of appeasing the mullahs, the will of the Iranian people to overthrow the clerical regime must be recognized by the international community.

The sudden transfer of political prisoner Hamid Reza Moradi from hospital to the prison

Political prisoner Hamid Reza Moradi who is suffering from heart disease and severe obstruction of his legs’ vessels, was suddenly returned to the prison cell before he had a chance to receive medical care at Sina hospital where he was hospitalized and under care. He was scheduled to go to Shohada Hospital for heart analysis and consultation on Sunday Jan. 25th.  The neurosurgeon medical team in Sina Hospital in his last medical report about this dervish political prisoner had emphasized on his continuation and the necessary medical procedures that should be observed regarding his health to control his illness and also prevention of stress to avoid worsening of his illness. But the prison authorities did not pay any attention to these medical directives and transferred Hamid Reza Moradi; the political prisoner back to the prison without receiving full medical attention.
